The singer, real name Ben Drew, kicked off principal photography on Ill Manors on September 1.

The film is Plan B‘s full-length debut. He has previously directed shorts and acted in several productions, including Harry Brown alongside Michael Caine.

Ill Manners is a “multi-character story set against the tough streets of Forest Gate, east London where everyone is fighting for respect”.

“I am delighted that Ill Manors is finally moving from an idea in my head into people, things and real locations,” explained Plan B. “We have a great team and cast, and I am excited about what we will try and do together!”

A release date for the film is yet to be decided.
