It was bound to happen. Since Facebook became one the most successful (I dare say THE most successful) social network, the idea of a movie about it was just a stone’s throw away. Well, the stone was thrown and it lands in the theatres this October.

The Social Network tells the story of 3 friends who create Facebook. The movie starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and Rashida Jones, is directed by David Fincher, while the screenplay is provided by Ben Mezrich and Aaron Sorkin.

Facebook was launched in February 2004 and since then has taken over the world, nowadays counting around 500 million users. The network brought co-founder Mark Zuckenberg a fortune of $4 billion , making him one of the youngest billionaires in the world. Not bad for a 26 year old!
